1. Save the destination with a human label in your own records (offline notes OK)—not only in a chat history.
2. Paste once into the wallet; compare first and last characters to your saved record (and more characters if shown).
3. Send a tiny test amount first; wait for confirmation you understand.
4. Only then send the remainder—if you still intend to.
5. If the paste “looks right” but you did not compare to an offline record, slow down—clipboard malware swaps addresses.
